This past week, our CEO Anthony Romano moderated a panel, “Leveraging Diversity to Drive Market Growth: The Business Case for DEIB in Marketing”, at the UWEBC (University of Wisconsin E-Business Consortium) 2024 Annual Conference in Madison, alongside panelists, Kelli Williams, Mary Beth George Puder, and Marilka Velez. Some big takeaways: - Diversity drives business performance: Companies with more diverse leadership achieve 9% higher EBITDA and are 19% more innovative than those with less diverse teams. (Source: BGC) - We need to take action to bridge the gap: Only 12% of the US marketing workforce identifies as Black or Hispanic, yet they represent 33% of the population.
