When unexpected downtime meets team spirit 🏍️   Our #Texas crew turned a 10-day project break into an unforgettable adventure. Layton employees teamed up with our trade partner, Enterprise Solutions, for a motorcycle trip to Sturgis, #SouthDakota. Highlights included exploring historical landmarks and supporting local heroes at the Nemo Volunteer Firefighters' breakfast.   This impromptu trip was such a hit, they've decided to make it an annual tradition! 🎉

Last week, we broke ground on the Iron County Sheriff’s Complex, a 33.5-acre facility located in #CedarCity, UT that will provide innovative programming focused on education and rehabilitation, while acting as the new headquarters for county deputies.   We look forward to working alongside Iron County and Babcock Design to bring this facility to life.

Our team overcomes the elements to deliver top-tier projects across the country, no matter the climate or season. 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿: 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘓𝘢𝘥𝘺𝘣𝘶𝘨 - #𝘕𝘦𝘸𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘯, 𝘗𝘈 Weather/Terrain: Winter rain and snow. Mountainside. Our team moved over 2 million cubic yards of earth through winter weather and blasted through rocky terrain to prepare the site. 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹: 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘭 - #𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘈𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘰, 𝘍𝘓 Weather/Terrain: Tropical storms. Wetlands. We persevered through hurricanes and tropical storms to keep construction on track and overcame slowdowns and work stoppages from significant rainfall. 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘉𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘦 - #𝘞𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘣𝘶𝘳𝘯, 𝘖𝘙 Weather/Terrain: One of the country's rainiest climates. Braving over 6 feet of rain, we utilized innovative techniques like soil-mixed piers and pre-purchased cement powder to deliver the largest building in #Oregon on time. Construction started July 12, 2021 and was substantially complete on April 16, 2023. 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿: 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦 - #𝘌𝘭𝘗𝘢𝘴𝘰, 𝘛𝘟 Weather/Terrain: Heat. High desert. Navigating extreme heat and winds, we completed record-breaking concrete pours in the high desert of #Texas—working through the night to beat the heat.
