Meet our latest investment: Augmodo Retailers assign their associates myriad responsibilities, including customer experience, inventory assessment, restocking shelves, filling ecommerce orders, and updating promotions. They need a tech-enabled assistant to help and brands similarly need more insight and control over how they’re being represented in the field, but a viable approach hasn’t existed to date. Augmodo provides real-time inventory and task tracking through its SmartBadge wearable devices. Powered by a spatial AI assistant, the SmartBadge creates live 3D maps to build better, more accurate shelf inventory and produce planograms that allow associates to allocate their time more efficiently. In addition, Augmodo’s SpatialView analytics platform serves as a single source of truth for brands, offering real-time visibility into shelf condition. Augmodo is ushering spatial computing into the world of retail at scale and modernizing the labor workforce. https://lnkd.in/ed_f6Z-u

A preview into LH portfolio company Urban Sky's work with the U.S. military
For the first time ever, micro–High-Altitude Balloons (microHABs) completed a Continuous Uninterrupted Relay Transmission Aerial Intelligence Network over a large distance as part of the Vanguard 24 exercise earlier this month. The microHABS were launched and used as a communications relay, providing line of sight between Yuma Proving Ground and Fort Huachuca, AZ. Although similar to the larger HABs, the microHABs will provide different capabilities due to its variance in size. Project Director Sensors-Aerial Intelligence is currently working hard to mature the microHAB to serve as an Army capability that will be readily available to Soldiers. 💪👏 #Vanguard24 #Modernize #AlwaysReady #PDSAI #SensorsAerialIntelligence #BeAllYouCanBe

LH Operating Partner Stephanie Manning spoke with Union Square Ventures' Lauren Young about how Stephanie and team support our portfolio companies post-check - giving founders more of what they need and less of what they don't as they scale their companies.
Platform teams in VC go beyond funding—they support founders with operations, marketing, hiring, and more. This week, I interviewed Lauren Young (Head of Network Operations at Union Square Ventures) and Stephanie Manning (Operating Partner at Lerer Hippeau) - they shared how their firms help early-stage startups: 💡 Focused Support: USV connects founders with experts at the right time, while LH guides them through key steps like fundraising and go-to-market plans. 💼 Leveraging Networks: Both firms use their networks to help startups solve challenges and access valuable communities. 🙌 Empowerment, Not Micromanagement: USV and LH let founders run their companies, offering support when needed without adding extra tasks. Platform teams are reshaping how VCs support founders—providing value while letting them stay in control. Check out the full video of the interview below. Thank you to Annie Shapiro for helping to organize these insights!
