Linea is thrilled to welcome Jeffrey Webber to the team as the Director of Engineering. Jeffrey brings over 10 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, specializing in solar and hybrid power plants. He earned his B.S. in Astrophysics from UC Santa Cruz and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the European Solar Engineering School. In his previous roles at Black & Veatch and Cypress Creek Renewables, he has developed expertise in renewable energy, focusing on solar and hybrid power plants. He progressed from Renewable Energy Consultant to Engineering Director, leading the Development Engineering team during significant company growth. A fun fact about Jeffrey is that he’s led more than 1,500 rafting trips around the world, including the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Iceland, Nepal, and India.   

Every quarter, our team takes on a new volunteer opportunity. Stewardship is a core value here at Linea, reflecting our commitment to responsibly managing resources and fostering sustainable practices for future generations. This quarter, we were thrilled to be able to participate in Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County's mission to combat food insecurity in Southern California. Second Harvest’s dedication to ensuring consistent access to nutritious food options—such as fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, dairy, whole grains, and proteins— inspires us. We are grateful for our hands-on volunteering experience.

Another successful RE+ conference in the books! From innovative showcases like sheep grazing under solar panels to LEGO building competitions, this year’s event truly had it all. It was inspiring to engage with industry leaders and witness the impressive advancements in clean energy technologies. Linea is thrilled to welcome Jacob Steubing, CFA to the team as Chief Commercial Officer. Jacob has an extensive background in North American power markets, having originated and structured over 2 GW of utility-scale solar, wind, and battery storage transactions across every US RTO/ISO. His previous roles included vice president of power marketing at GridStor and vice president of the sustainable investing group at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, as well as origination and structuring roles at Recurrent Energy and EDP Renewables. Jacob holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Public Affairs from The University of Texas at Austin and is a CFA charter holder. He also happens to be a Jiu-Jitsu purple belt and a dungeon master.

We are excited to welcome Jenn Manelski officially to the team. Jenn started with us as an intern and just joined our team full time in our Chicago office. Linea's internship program is an important part of who we are; it helps us cultivate talent and create a diverse, robust workforce to drive the energy transition forward. Jenn is the third intern we've hired on board full-time. We also have a new class of interns with us for the summer in our San Francisco office. We love having their fresh ideas and energy. We are developers, which also means we're in the business of developing people, applying our dedication to constant improvement from the interns to the CEO.
