"Our lack of #GridCapacity isn’t a problem of tomorrow; it's something we’re facing here and now that must be addressed with appropriate urgency." In this article from EEONLINE, AJ Hall of The AES Corporation and Jon Marmillo of LineVision make the case for #DynamicLineRatings, sharing their findings from the deployment of LineVision’s #DLR sensors across AES transmission lines in Indiana and Ohio. LineVision's partnership with AES showed: 🔍 The potential for DLR to greatly enhance real-time monitoring ⚡ High voltage transmission lines exhibiting a higher electrical capacity than their counterparts using static line ratings and ambient adjusted ratings 💡 Improved situational awareness and opportunities for informed decision-making in all five deployments These findings could help AES to further: 💰 Reduce energy and upgrade costs ⚡ Lower congestion 🤝 Improve reliability 🌍 Provide cleaner energy and faster connection of large customer loads such as data centers Learn more about this partnership and how #GETs are integral to creating a modernized grid to meet #LoadGrowth: https://lnkd.in/eENBdwGV
