    🚀 How I Gained 50 Users in Less Than 24 Hours—at $0 Cost When launching a business, your first goal should be finding users who can provide valuable insights to help improve your product. These users aren’t necessarily your future customers but rather a group who can help grow your product and audience—your early adopters. A common misconception, often due to the "Crossing the Chasm" Moore Model, is that early adopters will become your future customers. But in reality, your early-stage users are there to help you refine your product through daily use and honest feedback, even if they will never pay for it. The value you get from people are: 💡 Insights: You need users to engage with your product and provide feedback. 💰 Money: You need funds to make your product even better. I recently ran an experiment to see if Reachy’s audience consists of Lead Generation experts or early-stage B2B founders (My advice: Do it regularly to better understand your users and customers) While there's some bias due to the "Free" effect, this exercise gave me insights on refining our sales motion strategy.     I sent the same LinkedIn message every year for 3 years—here’s what I learned... I targeted different people but always Lead Generation experts in the same countries: In 2022, 42% of people replied to my message. In 2023, only 28% replied to the same message. In 2024, just 6% responded. 🚨 Outbound isn’t dead—the rules have just changed. The outbound game has shifted faster than I expected. Too many people are doing LinkedIn automation wrong, just like what happened with email—saturated and irrelevant. There’s a gap between what “experts” recommend and the reality. 👉 In 2022, personalization was enough to build proximity with prospects—but that no longer works. 👉 In 2023, timing outreach with signals was enough—but not anymore. 👉 In 2024, the rules have changed. Outreach is now about building genuine relationships, and be patient... **Here’s what to focus on:** ↳ Keep it short (not necessarily personalized) ↳ Don’t push—start with a simple, unassuming message ↳ Offer something that people value for free (time, help, expertise, support) ↳ Don't expect anything in return, but reward will come ↳ No catch (even if people will doubt about it) Outbound is increasingly linked to your inbound strategy: ↳ Outreach and talk to people to know your audience (What Paul Graham called "Do Things that don't scale" but when the door is open...) ↳ Post content to share your insights and scale your reach **My takeaway:** Start by reaching out individually to learn, then post content as a way to give back and attract people.     🔍 How I Maximize Outreach on LinkedIn 🚀 LinkedIn is known as the most effective outreach channel, and I have to admit it took me time to understand how to optimize it. Here's how I approach LinkedIn cold outreach: 1️⃣ Invite People to Connect 2️⃣ Get a Reply from Your Target No rocket science so far, right? Unlike email, there's no bounce or spam folder issue on LinkedIn; you're sure your message will land in your prospect's inbox once you're connected. So, I focused on four key steps: 🔹 How to scale the number of daily connections? 🔹 How to maximize the connection rate? 🔹 How to maximize the reply rate? 🔹 How to maximize the action rate (e.g., getting the prospect to install Reachy)? To achieve the first two goals, I managed LinkedIn accounts auto-rotation. This means automatically using multiple LinkedIn accounts, which makes sense when centralizing this task for a global team. From the beginning, I handled multiple LinkedIn accounts in one campaign and let Reachy switch from one account to another to maximize the number of daily connections, considering LinkedIn's limitation of around 80 per day per account. By scaling the team, we can achieve unlimited daily connections or DMs, which is a game changer. For the daily connection rate, I improved the auto-rotation system by letting Reachy auto-rotate from one LinkedIn account to another after X configurable days if the connection status is pending. This trick increased our connection rate by 25% for a team of two members. In other words, if the prospect does not accept the connection request from Chris, Reachy will automatically ask Alex to invite the same prospect. Achieving a 63% connection request acceptance rate in a team is a significant milestone. We’ve now integrated this capability into Reachy, and I invite you to experience it for yourself!     Many people treat LinkedIn like an emailing channel. ❌ And that’s why they fail… They incorporate LinkedIn into their omni-channel prospecting sequences. I see people every day asking me how to improve their reply rate. We live in a connected era where community is king in business. 👑 Being part of a community comes with responsibilities and duties, such as trust and respect. 🤝 Back in the 2000s, the golden sales rule was to send at least 7 email follow-ups to maximize the reply rate. 📧 It was all about spamming people to keep your email on top of their inbox. Not much has changed since then. We've started personalizing messages, qualifying our targets, and even timing our outreach for maximum impact. But we still put people into prospecting sequences to multiply touchpoints and chase that elusive reply. 📈 Today, the real metric is maximizing interactions between you and your prospect. If you send 7 messages and get only one reply, that’s just 1 interaction. To win in the outbound game, you need to maximize interactions and foster conversations by being respectful, non-selly, adding value, showing empathy, listening, and ultimately being human. 🤖 AI is a valuable asset for making connections and sending timely, kind messages.
