On #WorldFoodDay, we recognize the vital role that nutrition plays in helping communities thrive. The Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations estimates that 733 million people grapple with food insecurity, emphasizing the urgent need to take action. Link Logistics is proud to support the nonprofit CoreGiving and its mission to fight childhood hunger in the U.S.—including through our recent #CoreGivingDay that mobilized more than 3,000 volunteers. Family is everything to Cynthia Vargas, associate director of Property Management at Link Logistics. She left her hometown of Durango, Mexico, at just four years old, but held on to her cultural values. When she visits Mexico with her children, she points out the land that her family owns and reflects on the many generations of farmers who dedicated their lives to cultivate it. In addition to honoring her family’s legacy, Cynthia actively supports Latinx and Hispanic families in the Chicago area by working with a local nonprofit. “Family is the cornerstone of Mexican culture and I’m incredibly proud of my heritage,” says Cynthia. “I am grateful to work for a company that empowers me to support my community while showing up as my authentic self every day.” #NationalLatinxHispanicHeritageMonth #NationalHispanicHeritageMonth

At Link Logistics, we understand that mental health is shaped in part by the communities and connections we build—both inside and outside of work. According to Headspace, 53 percent of employees say their jobs have helped them find a community, and 44 percent say work has helped them create connections. From our growing Employee Resource Groups to the interest-based communities our people form through Microsoft's Viva Engage platform, we’re creating opportunities for employees to build genuine relationships. Fostering an environment where connections can flourish and impact mental well-being is work we will continue to do. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/er7pgUUY #WorldMentalHealthDay

As communities deal with the impact of Hurricane Milton while recovery efforts continue following Hurricane Helene, Link Logistics stands with CoreGiving in supporting affected areas across Florida and western North Carolina. CoreGiving is providing at least $250,000 to local communities. If you’d like to help families in need, visit CoreGiving’s donations page, where you can mark 100% of your contribution to go directly to relief efforts in these regions: https://lnkd.in/gkSStkpH
As Floridians brace for Hurricane Milton, our hearts are with everyone in its path. While over 3,000 volunteers are eager to support 80+ food banks in 70+ cities across the U.S. for CoreGiving Day, we’ve postponed activities in Florida to prioritize safety and recovery. With families already devastated by Hurricane Helene, and many more bracing for Hurricane Milton, the road to recovery will be long. Our volunteers in Florida will be ready to step in as soon as it's safe, and we’re committing critical funding to help support relief efforts. You can make a difference too. 100% of your donation to CoreGiving will go to our food bank partners in Florida and western North Carolina. Join us in supporting these communities—donate today at https://lnkd.in/gdfH-8wu. #CoreGivingDay #DisasterRelief #EndHungerTogether

Veronica Gomez de Ramos, a senior executive administrative assistant at Link Logistics’ Chicago office, is proud of her Guatemalan heritage. Her great-grandparents emigrated from Japan to Guatemala in the early 1900s—and more than 100 years later, most of Veronica’s family still lives in the Central American country. She has many childhood memories of hiking ancient Mayan trails, exploring black sand beaches and participating in Antigua’s colorful Holy Week celebrations. “My cultural heritage and upbringing inspire my passion for connecting with others from diverse backgrounds—including those from the Latino or Hispanic Latinx community,” says Veronica. “This value continues to enrich my life.” #NationalHispanicHeritageMonth #NationalHispanicLatinxHeritageMonth #WeAreLinked #PeoplePowered
