At Lit Fibre, we are always looking for ways to support the community, which is why we are proud to announce we are sponsoring Boldmere St Michaels FC and the new ‘It’s Lit’ youth zone, where we have also installed our ultrafast full-fibre broadband. BBC News reported that the consumer group Which? calls for broadband companies to drop their "unfair" bill increases this spring. In his response, our CEO Tom Williams reiterates support for the idea of banning mid-contract price hikes proposed by Ofcom and shares Lit Fibre’s promise of never to inflate our prices midway through your contract: “In the face of rising inflation, we believe that consumers shouldn’t have to worry about their internet bill going up unexpectedly. This Is Money reports that with the rising inflation, millions of UK consumers could see price increases for broadband and mobile of up to 7.9%. The mid-contract hikes are planned between March to May and are likely to result in many mobile and internet companies passing on cost increases associated with inflation, frequently along with additional fees.
