📣 Today marks a historic day in baby food safety—not just for Little Spoon, but for the entire U.S. baby food industry. Shockingly, the United States has no federal regulation for heavy metals + chemical contaminants in baby food and no brand makes clear their safety standards. Parents trust is, unsurprisingly, at an all time low. We hear parents loud and clear: it’s time for BIG change, and Little Spoon is ready to bring a fresh new standard to baby food. 🙌 From this day forward, here's our promise: ✅ All of our Babyblends are tested for over 500 toxins + contaminants, including heavy metals. ✅ Our publicly available safety standards are based on the European Union (EU)— we test for heavy metals, pesticides, glyphosate and plasticizers. ✅ Anyone visiting our site can view dashboards on each of our Babyblend pages to see the status of our testing and specific limits we test against. ✅ We are committed to never selling baby food product that does not fall at or below our rigorous testing limits. Period. ✅ We've tapped world-renowned experts in science + food safety to answer parents' questions on this overwhelming topic and advise us as we continue to ramp up our efforts. We are just getting started and we are listening. Transparency parents deserve is here. Check out all of the details on LittleSpoonBigChange.com and tell us what you think. #BabyFoodSafety #FoodTransparency #HeavyMetals #OrganicFood #HealthyBabyFood #BrandValues #BrandMission #Innovation

Our CEO, Ben Lewis, shares his thoughts on Little Spoon's mission and how we're committed to changing the baby food industry for parents and kids in the US. 💪
🚨 There have been lots of headlines recently about baby food – concerns about toxins and contaminants, mislabeling, poor nutritional value and more. These topics – and the need for serious change in the baby food aisle – are nothing new. In fact, they were some of the key motivators in starting Little Spoon. ➡️ We’ve always heard from parents about their anxiety when it comes to feeding their children. But our most recent consumer research has made it urgently clear: parents are worried, and trust in the industry is at an all time low. 🍏 Good nutrition should be a right, not a privilege, yet the bar for kids' food continues to remain maddeningly low in the US. Little Spoon is raising the bar. 🏆 Reinvention, with the promise of a brighter future, inspired Little Spoon’s founding mission. My amazing team spends every day focused on earning parents’ trust, while finding more ways to make their lives easier and kids healthier. ✨ 🤝 PS: If our mission gets you excited, we're always looking for smart, motivated people to join the team. We are growing quickly and have more than 8 open roles!

⭐We’re so excited to be a winner of the 2024 Good Housekeeping Parenting Awards for the best Bite-Size Beginner Food - AKA our Biteables. 👉 Biteables were created for babies under 1 to bridge the gap between starting solids (our Babyblends) and toddler finger foods (our Plates). These meals are designed for little ones to make the transition stress—free with cut to size pieces that are pinchable and easily mashed, made for your baby’s developmental needs at this stage.
