Some reviews from July! As expected it was an even bigger month than June. The mortgage world is heating up again. Seeing a lot more requests for equity loans and cash out refinances, though preapprovals are coming in a few a week as well and it seems like more and more realtors are getting wind that we’re closing purchase loans in as little as 14 days. As the Loan Pronto team closes in on $200MM loans funded for the year, I want to give a shout out to all our team members that have grinded through this with me. Never underestimate the power sheer persistence and determination. There may be some bumpy roads ahead, but it's clear our gameplan is paying off. With our core team of talented ops and sales in place, it's become clear that we have a winning formula that can weather bad times, but our sails are more than prepared to catch the next wind more than almost any other company out there.

Extremely proud and impressed with the Loan Pronto team for posting a profitable Q1/2024. This isn't something I'd post in a normal market, but we aren't in a normal market. Faced with massive headwinds- high rates, low inventory, low margins, and high fallout rate, we were able to get back to a path of profitability while not cutting the expense that most mortgage companies continue to cut- our incredibly valuable employees. As you enter Q2, and what is shaping up to be a very challenging quarter, remember that if your first path to make money is cutting employees, that's a cheap way to get there and it rarely works. In fact, it almost always backfires. One of our proudest achievements over that last 2+ years is zero layoffs. Loyalty > profits and loyalty will lead to profits.

One of our Loan Officers at Loan Pronto had the fantastic idea to highlight how the supply chain delay due to the collapse of the Frances Scott Key bridge could affect the housing market 🏘 I didn't anticipate that the tragic structural accident of a Baltimore bridge would have implications for homeowners and buyers. But every day with this team brings new insights! We collaborated on the message we wanted to convey to buyers and I put together an informative carousel post. If you're still reading, here's the gist 👇 👉 Baltimore ranks as the 5th largest port on the east coast and the 15th largest in the U.S., with imports totaling approximately $58.8 billion in building and electrical goods. 🤔 The imports affected and delayed due to the rerouting of this port include: ▪ Plywood ▪Veneer Panels ▪Laminated Wood ▪Gypsum (drywall, plaster, cement, etc) ▪Sawn Lumber Since many of these goods are essential for new home construction or renovations, homeowners may experience: 👎 Construction delays 📈 Increased costs 🏠 Limited options 👥 A more competitive market 🤚 Project uncertainties This event showcases how much the housing market is and can be affected by outside sources. It was a great time making this and an even better time learning something new with the knowledge of my team!
