For the 14th year in a row, we are offering Local Roots NYC Thanksgiving bundles so you can cook a complete farm to table dinner this holiday. I just added an option to donate local, organic, nutrient dense veggies to fellow New Yorkers who reside Homes for the Homeless. Please help me bring the highest quality farm ingredients to shelter residents. 💜💚 We were able to donate thousands of pounds of organic local veggies to fellow essential workers during the pandemic without any grants or corporate sponsors - purely out of the joy to feed others when the community needed it. What do you do with PA grown organic jalapeños from the Local Roots Harvest Club? 🌶️ margarita made with jalapeño simple syrup and jalapeño infused tequila. Recipe below for the 🌶️ simple syrup 👇 Conventionally grown jalapeños have 101 chemicals sprayed on them, making it the second worst produce to eat when grown conventional. We enjoy our cocktails without all those chemicals which is why organic matters even more with jalapeños. #themoreyouknow RECIPE 1 cup water 1 cup sugar 1 jalapeño sliced 1. Bring water and sugar to a boil. Add sliced jalapeños 2. Lower heat and simmer for 10 min 3.
