❗❗ History made on the California Delta ❗❗ Deanna Moreno brought 13 pounds, 1 ounce to the scales on the final day of the Toyota Motor Corporation Series Western Division presented by Tackle Warehouse on the California Delta, giving her the Strike King Lure Company - A Rather Outdoors Brand co-angler win over Rachel Uribe. Moreno is the first female angler to win a Toyota Series event since 2001 and the third ever. Moreno and Uribe’s 1-2 finish marks the first time in MLF/FLW history that female anglers have taken the top two spots in a tournament. MLF Fans tuned-in in droves for the 2024 General Tire Heavy Hitters event presented by Bass Pro Shops! The event saw a 67% year-over-year increase in livestream viewership and a record number of minutes viewed for the all-star event, which took place May 18-23 in Kissimmee, Florida!

Everybody’s fishing story has a beginning. For former Abu Garcia College Fishing angler Lee Rose Koza, it began at Dugout Bait and Tackle, her family’s tackle shop in Marietta, Georgia, where she dipped minnows as a child and rode along with her dad on tackle and bait deliveries throughout the Southeast. Years later - through High School and College Fishing and a degree in Communications Studies from a Tennessee "fishing school" - Lee Rose is now Program Coordinator for Visit Jefferson County, Tennessee, where her responsibilities include planning bass tournaments and working on community projects around the fisheries in the county. “Fishing has given me so much in my life,” she says. “It’s brought my family together, it gave me an amazing college experience and has given me so many important relationships in my life. I plan bass tournaments as part of my job now!
