HITTING DEADLINES WITHOUT HITTING A WALL It’s said it takes pressure to produce a diamond. In advertising and marketing, it’s also been known to produce trophy cases full of Lucite from time to time. But if you’re not careful, unregulated stress and pressure can lead to mental health issues, too. To commemorate National Wellness Month, we thought we’d share our favorite tips that could help you nail even your most deadly of deadlines without hitting a wall: 1. Prioritize Self-Care: o Ensure you're getting enough sleep, eating nutritious meals, and exercising regularly. These basics have a significant impact on your overall well-being. 2. Set Boundaries: o Establish clear boundaries between work and personal time. Avoid checking emails or work messages during off-hours to ensure you have time to recharge. 3. Practice Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques: o Engage in mindfulness exercises such as meditation, deep breathing, or yoga to help reduce stress and increase focus. 4. Stay Organized: o Use tools like to-do lists, project management apps, and calendars to keep track of deadlines and tasks. Being organized can help reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed. 5. Take Regular Breaks: o Schedule short breaks throughout the day to step away from your desk and clear your mind. Even a five-minute walk can make a big difference.

THESE ARE THE THINGS WE STAND FOR It’s important to stand for something. On this day in 1920, millions of men and women across America rose to give women the right to vote for the first time in the nation’s then 144-year history. Women and the nation have come a long way since those tentative steps toward gender equality. As a successful woman-owned business ourselves, MarCom Group takes particular pride in celebrating Women’s Equality Day. But we know there is still work to be done. We hope you will stand with us as we push for equality for all.

She gets her eye for photography from her dad, and her love of design from her mom, but her unique style is all her own. Artistry runs in Tammy Belazis’ genes and courses through her veins. Her father was an avid photographer, having studied under Fred Picker, an understudy of Ansel Adams, and her mom, an accomplished designer, owning her own design studio and video production company. Tammy knew early on that she was destined for a life in the arts. Initially, she thought she’d try her hand at interior design, studying at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, but realized quickly that the field’s carefully sculpted topiaries, bourgeois refinement, and haughty decorum clashed with her then mohawk haircut and punk-rock lifestyle. She considered professional photography but realized that making a successful living would likely require shooting weddings and babies, which were never high on her bucket list. So, she chose a career in graphic design, where she could pursue all her loves and keep the spiked hair and avant-garde lifestyle. It was in this role Tammy was the lead creative of Jane's, publisher of "All the World's Aircraft,” where she oversaw an international team of designers stationed around the globe. Her experience there uniquely prepared her for her current role at MarCom Group as Senior Graphic Designer, where her design skills have truly taken off.

Getting real creative in the age of artificial intelligence. It’s starting to get real. Almost overnight, artificial intelligence has swept the globe, transforming how we think about, well...everything. AI brings with it tectonic shifts in the way we create. Suddenly, territory that used to be the exclusive domain of skilled artisans has been made accessible to all. You might think that creatives, whose job it is to be innovative, would feel threatened by the rise of AI. But au contraire, mon ami. At MarCom Group, we see the AI revolution as a tremendous opportunity. You see, as AI democratizes content creation, unsurprisingly, homogeneity often follows. And if there’s one thing a level playing field provides, it’s the opportunity to rise high above it. Sure, while AI helps us automate repetitive tasks, analyze data with unprecedented accuracy, and even brainstorm new ideas, it’s the human touch that will always set our work apart. Because the surest way to succeed in the era of AI is to get real creative.
