Marinus Analytics is an open source intelligence and internet safety company providing software, intelligence, and data analyst and investigations support to law enforcement and private sector clients. We have a particular emphasis on combatting crimes like human trafficking, child sex abuse and money laundering, and on safeguarding vulnerable victims. Marinus establishes integrated technology solutions, that provide online evidence accessed through an intuitive user interface to help law enforcement discover patterns of criminal--and victim--activity. Through these tools, Marinus has already helped law enforcement more effectively find and prosecute criminals, and rescue victims.

A great example of how to tackle modern slavery by partnership. Police and NGOs working to make sure victims are safe and that the perpetrators get prison sentences. I worked on this case from day one. The victim was one of the most vulnerable and controlled I've encountered. Her life was never her own. Nothing in her life was . Interviewing her was one of the most diffficult I've carried out. The difficulty for me though was nothing compared to how hard it must have been for her to trust us and then recount the horrendous life she had had at the hands of these evil people. Throughout she showed unbelievable strength and courage. The support from the NGOs involved including MASH (Manchester Action on Street Health) and Justice and Care was the best. Support for many years from the service provider accomodating her was immense. The changes in the victim to now have control of her life for the first time is heart warming. All down to those NGOs, support provider and the unbelievable strength of the victim herself. This case seemed to go on forever for many reasons. Four and a half years. More of this is needed. Dedicated and trained police officers working alongside wonderful NGOs and charities. Hope this brave survivor has the best future ever.

I've just spent the past three days at INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING INVESTIGATORS INC conference in Clearwater, Florida . Attended I believe by over 700 people from Law Enforcement, Child welfare and NGOs across the US and Canada. I've never been to an event organised so well. A few things I've taken away from it are 1. The passion of the people here to combat human trafficking 2. The knowledge , passion and will to find new ways to tackle the crime . 3. The breadth of great speakers at the event. 4. The want to use technology. 5. How much what we are doing at Marinus Analytics is loved . I met so many great people here that invigorate you to want to do more. Well done to Jeremy Lewis and the wider team to put on such an event and to get the right people there. How good would it be to have an event of this magnitude in UK or Europe with the same wonderful standard of attendees and speakers .
