🚀 The Match Talent team visited the Embassy of Pakistan Germany in Berlin yesterday. We shared a presentation about our work and our services to different members of the Pakistani diaspora living in Germany, who joined both online and offline. 🗣️ We talked about the government-funded opportunities in Germany for newcomers, and especially focused on people who hold a spouse visa in Germany. 🔥 We also answered some burning questions the participants had. ✨ Thank you to the Embassy of Pakistan for the invitation, and we look forward to future projects together!

📢 We’re happy to announce that Welt has published an article, which talks about one of our alumna, Sana, her journey with Match Talent, and what the MINT sector in Germany looks like for female migrants. 🚀 At our initiative  “Match Talent for Women” we aim to support and empower female talents in Germany. ✨ In order to do so, we’ve taken various steps to, firstly, understand the needs of women in Germany and check if our programmes fulfil their career expectations. Secondly, to make sure that everyone is aware of the opportunities, we run various info sessions presenting the options. 📣 We are thrilled to announce that the Migration Manager Academy has been selected as one of the five innovative projects in the second round of ProjectTogether's #10000Tage Challenge to mobilize climate specialists and support Germany's green transition. Yesterday, we had the honor of receiving the award alongside our strong partners at the Project Together office. 💫 As a result, we will soon be launching the Migration Manager Academy, led and developed by Kiron Open Higher Education in collaboration with Lingoda GmbH/Match Talent Initiative, as well as Wandel.com, Rekruut, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH, and Fragomen. 🔎 What is the Migration Manager Academy? A major bottleneck in driving the climate transition is the lack of skilled labour. To address this, we need both local talent and skilled immigration. However, successful skilled immigration is complex and requires experts to manage and optimize the entire value chain of this process. The Migration Manager Academy aims to fill this gap by training specialists to guide and manage the entire journey of migrating climate professionals. 🤝 We would like to thank everyone involved in the development, as well as Project Together and the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung for their support. We had a wonderful time at the “Workeer Day” a job fair at the Jobcenter Reinickendorf Berlin yesterday. 💫 The job fair gave us a fantastic opportunity to connect with talented individuals. 🤝 Last week, in collaboration with IOM Germany, Kasia Wozniak and Fabienne Huber from the Match Talent team co-organized a panel discussion to explore effective strategies for linking international talent with employers. The goal was to bring together representatives from NGOs, governmental organizations, and the private sector to discuss ways to facilitate access to the German labor market. 💬 We heard insightful presentations from Victoria Baumann (Workeer) and Carsten Johnson (Cisco), focusing on the skilled labor shortage in Germany and their innovative platform and upskill solutions to address this issue by supporting international talent. 💫 Following the presentations, we opened the floor for a discussion where participants from various sectors shared their insights on challenges and solutions as well as ways to unite efforts. Key recommendations included enhancing collaboration between public institutions, NGOs, and the private sector, increasing access to funded language and skills training courses, and better utilizing existing resources to fully tap into the potential of international talent in Germany. 👏 Big thanks to IOM for hosting us, and to everyone who attended the event and shared their experiences and ideas. 📣 Our initial community meet-up for the pilot cohorts of the Sprachcafé and Language Course took place last week! It was inspiring to see our participants engage and thrive through practising their German all while connecting with each other. 💡 A highlight of the session was an impressive pitch competition! Groups showcased their creative and innovative ideas for an app to support newcomers in Germany, all delivered in German. With such a variety of incredible pitches, choosing a winner was no easy task. However, the ultimate victor was the "Müllroute App"! This app would greatly assist individuals, particularly newcomers, to easily understand and adhere to Germany's trash and recycling system promoting a sustainable lifestyle. Congratulations to all participants for their inspiring contributions! 💫 We are proud to be fostering a vibrant community among international talents here in Germany.
