On September 18-19, McAllister & Quinn hosted its 2nd annual Government Relations Workshop for higher education leaders in Washington, D.C. Presidents and leaders from nine institutions joined us to learn about the federal appropriations process and strategies for securing federal funding. McAllister & Quinn proudly congratulates Forge Battery, the commercial lithium-ion battery subsidiary of Forge Nano, Inc., on a significant milestone! Forge Battery has been selected for award negotiations of up to $100M in non-dilutive funding from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)’s Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains (MESC). This funding will support the expansion of its North Carolina gigafactory, increasing lithium-ion battery production capacity to 3 gigawatt hours per year (GWh/year). This is a tremendous achievement that reflects months of collaboration and strategic planning. The expanded facility is expected to create over 280 full-time jobs, alongside 550 temporary jobs during construction and equipment installation.
