When the clock strikes midnight on October 31, for one day a year, Mead & Hunt becomes Mead & HAUNT! 🎃 Our Halloween costume contest is our favorite annual tradition. This year, we received a visit from the Hocus Pocus witches, a hardworking ghost, and even the cast of SNL! Our communications team is full of emotions from Inside Out, the Dallas team had an intergalactic turkey dinner, and the Portland Aviation team dressed as a full MALSR System. Which costume gets your vote this year? #MeadHunt #Halloween

From the expansive training grounds of Fort Moore, Georgia to a single building of a National Guard Readiness Center, each military installation has specific needs within its gates. The communities outside the gates have their own needs, too. William R. White shares how planners from both sides of the gate can collaborate to understand each other’s needs, mitigate friction points, gather essential data, and align their plans to secure design and construction funding. 🔗 More in the blog: https://lnkd.in/esmriK_C

Congratulations to Josh Wolfgram, PE, PTOE, RSP1, named Amy Polk and Selman Altun Young Professional of the Year by the Chesapeake and Potomac Section of ITE (CAPSITE). We couldn't put it into better words than Robin Lee W Fish, P.E., PTOE, RSP1 in his nomination submission... "Josh has the magic combination of extreme competence, unabashed pragmatism, forceful determination, and the unwillingness to accept engineering solutions unless they meaningfully improve the lives of the people and communities we serve." Congratulations from all of us, Josh!

Our box culvert installation on US 98 with the Florida Department of Transportation was a win-win-win! By using precast, prestressed concrete deck panels typically used in bridge construction, we were able to repair the box culvert in four days while maintaining a single travel lane. Drivers avoided a 59-mile, months-long detour, and taxpayers saved more than $500k on the project. Read more from Michael Schwier in the blog: https://lnkd.in/eQ63ZgXm
