Big News!
BRIDGE DESIGN UNVEILED Gov. Wes Moore today unveiled the new design for the Francis Scott Key Bridge. It will be Maryland’s first cable-stayed bridge. “We are going to use the best materials available, and employ many Marylanders to get it done,” said Gov. Wes Moore. “Residents, commuters and businesses are relying on us to make the Baltimore Beltway whole as quickly as possible. This design achieves these goals while still allowing for Baltimore to make its mark on its new bridge,” said Maryland Department of Transportation Secretary Paul Wiedefeld. The project now moves forward with final design and regulatory approvals before construction begins.
