We have some new faces here at Merit! Please welcome Ashley, Trent, and Kasey to the Merit family. Ashley joined our team in May as the Accounting Assistant. Her typical day includes processing pay applications from subcontractors and making sure all subcontractor paperwork is squared away. In her free time, she enjoys knitting, crocheting, and spending time with family! Her favorite thing about working at Merit is the opportunity to learn and grow within the company. Trent joined our team in June as a Foreman. He comes to Merit all the way from New Zealand where he was in the construction industry for 20 years. Currently, he is working on the Lighthouse Christian School project and is learning under one of Merit's best, Jason Fridlund. When he’s not working, he likes to spend time with family, be out on the open water game fishing, and golfing. Kasey joined our team in June as the Marketing Coordinator. She is behind the scenes on Merit’s social media and website and works closely with our President to ensure Merit’s brand values are evident in everything we do! When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, Winston and Honey. Her favorite thing about working for Merit is the culture and collaborative environment. #EmployeeSpotlight #ConstructionEmployees #TacomaGeneralContractor #WashingtonConstruction

We are proud to announce the completion of the Hörmann Innovative Door System expansion project. Merit built two 18,600 SF Butler Manufacturing pre-engineered metal buildings on the site of their Puyallup manufacturing facility. Merit Project Manager, Adam Coleman, sat down with Hörmann’s Chief Operating Officer, Camron Rudd, to discuss his career with Hörmann, what the Puyallup expansion means for Hörmann’s operations, and his experience working with Merit. Relationships are at the core of what we do, and we are grateful to Hörmann for being such fantastic partners throughout this project! Visit our website, MeritNW.com/blog, to read the full interview and see more pictures of the completed project! #ButlerBuilder #FredericksonWashington #TacomaGeneralContractor #PEMB #MetalBuildingConstruction

#FlashbackFriday to 2016 when Merit completed the TCA-6 Expansion project, a 100,00 SF manufacturing plant expansion, including office space, manufacturing floor space, warehouse space and employee locker rooms and break room. Our team is no stranger to working in occupied spaces; being a 24/7 manufacturing plant, our team had to work diligently to ensure minimal disruptions to their operations. We completed this project on time, under budget, and with no safety incidents! Toray Composites is one of our longest standing clients and we have had the privilege of working with them on many projects over the years. Merit Construction has a strong presence in the Frederickson area, and we look forward to partnering with more businesses to continue building Frederickson into a leading industrial center. #FredericksonIndustrialCenter #IndustrialConstruction #TacomaGeneralContractor #WashingtonStateConstruction #OccupiedSpaceConstruction #TeamBuild
