In the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, it's inspiring to see the resilience of communities like Southshore Bay in Wimauma. As we focus on rebuilding and supporting those affected, we're reminded of the importance of innovative solutions like BlockEnergy, which kept homes powered even through the worst of the storm. The ability to maintain power during such times is truly extraordinary. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted, and we’re proud to partner with forward-thinking teams like BlockEnergy and Lennar Homes. Together, we’re building more sustainable, self-sufficient communities across Florida and beyond. #SouthshoreBay #Wimauma #BlockEnergy
As a Tampa, Florida based business, our hearts go out to all those impacted by Hurricane #Milton. In the wake of the massive devastation that this storm brought, it is incredible how the most ordinary of things - like having electricity to power your home - can become extraordinary. The 37 homeowners whose homes are powered by BlockEnergy in southeast Tampa maintained power throughout the worst of Milton and continue to while thousands of surrounding homes are without. As our team surveyed damage in the community yesterday, homeowners came out into the street to express how blessed, thankful and grateful they were to have their homes powered by BlockEnergy. Thank you to our partners at Tampa Electric, Lennar Homes and Metro Development Group and the Florida Public Service Commission for working with us to pilot the first commercial installation of our technology. This is the fourth hurricane in just over two years that has impacted the Tampa area and our system performed flawlessly in each case. We are working with forward thinking utilities, developers and homebuilders across North America to create new residential communities that are net zero, self-generating with renewable energy and can operate independently from the grid for an indefinite period of time through major natural disasters, during public safety power shutoffs resulting from heightened wildfire risk or any other time that the grid is not available. Every home should be a BlockEnergy home. Note: See our BlockBox on the right of the home in the image below.
