MG2 partners held the firm's annual shareholder retreat in July, focusing on the firm of the future, 2030 strategic planning, personal growth, and performance culture. The multi-day discussion highlighted our work's value and profound impact on people's lives – the way they work, play, live, and shop. In today's ever-changing landscape, we recognize that the world demands more than just functional environments. We are committed to design that fosters well-being and enrichment. Excited for the years ahead and what the future holds. ______________________________________________________________________ #shareholders #firmofthefuture #mg2design

We're so excited to have been a part of this year's Seattle Design Festival. MG2 summer interns designed a pop-up with solutions for improving underutilized spaces in our ever-evolving urban environments. The sustainable design reused structural elements from previous exhibits and utilized recyclable graphic panels to minimize waste. The gallery showcased ideas, sketches, and solutions for revamping empty storefronts, improving vacant offices, and creating spaces that better serve communities. ______________________________________________________________________ Seattle Design Festival #sdfwhatif #seattledesignfestival #mg2design

MG2 Designer Joy Dayaw spoke at length with NACS Magazine's Amanda Baltazar about the future of convenience stores. Here's a snippet: “At a recently opened Bellevue, Washington Evergreens location (a Seattle-based quick-service chain), Joy Dayaw, associate, MG2 Design in Seattle, included a railing six feet from the front door to guide customers to the menu, ordering line, and then to the POS, ‘so it’s a very clear pathway.’ And the railing, of course, fits in—it’s painted the dark, deep green of the Evergreen’s palette. It’s subtle, but the railing separates the ordering line form the seating area and from customers picking up orders.” “Other wayfinding can be incorporated at eye level and above, and is often suspended from the ceiling. ‘Wayfinding signage is critical now because consumers want that streamlined experience,’ said Dayaw. ‘We’re really focusing on the speed and convenience of the customer flow.’” Learn more about QSR (quick service restaurant) design in the link below: https://lnkd.in/gqj9BBFT _____________________________________________________________________________ 📸 : Alden Rodgers Photography #quickservicerestaurant #QSR #conveniencestore #mg2design

MG2 is designing data centers in both Atlanta, GA, and Kansas City, MO, for a national, sustainable data center client. Each project's unique structural type is tailored to meet specific end-user needs and site conditions. The complexities of MEP systems, structural engineering, security, and acoustics make this a market that requires a high degree of expertise. Beyond mission-critical facilities, MG2 provides program design and strategic program thinking as well as comprehensive support for large scale projects like these. To learn more about this expertise, meet MG2 Principal Roy Hague NCARB, LEED AP, at Bisnow's Data Center Investment Conference & Expo. We are delighted to share the renderings of the BNY project, designed by our client MG2 Design. Nestled in the Brooklyn Boat Basin, with views across the river to Manhattan, this multifaceted complex integrates creative office spaces, industrial design and manufacturing facilities, retail areas, laboratories, exhibition halls, and art galleries. A standout feature of the design is the incorporation of a landscaped terrace that ties the entire complex together, offering not only a cohesive visual experience but also bolstering the functionality and flow of the space. As streaming platforms explore new ways to engage audiences, the question arises: can Netflix successfully transform its intellectual properties (IPs) into profitable, long-term retail experiences? With Netflix taking their bold step of merging the digital and physical worlds through the introduction of Netflix House, MarketScale invited us to this episode of "Experts Talk" to explore the challenges and opportunities Netflix House faces. A few key highlights: Main Points of Discussion: - Reviving Malls Through Experiential Retail: With traditional anchors facing continued challenges, experiential destinations like Netflix House could provide a much-needed boost to physical shopping centers. - Designing Flexible, Immersive Spaces: the importance of modular designs, adaptable infrastructure, and the role of technology in enabling frequent updates to the environment. - The Impact on Brand Loyalty and Content Monetization: By offering fans an opportunity to engage with their favorite shows in a physical space, Netflix could deepen emotional connections with its audience, potentially increasing subscriber retention and generate additional revenue beyond traditional streaming subscriptions.
