About us

With roots in northeast Indiana, we are a family-owned company that has been raising and processing both organic and all-natural chicken with the help of local farm families for over 30 years. We are vertically integrated and oversee every process within the company. From our chicks hatching at our family-owned hatchery, being placed within our community of more than 180 farm families, to owning two feed mills that process our corn and soybean meal mixture. We do our best to source our feed ingredients from local farmers to minimize our carbon footprint. We strive to be a company of dedicated, faithful people producing naturally grown poultry in an ethical manner for consumers who appreciate and enjoy wholesome, great-tasting food.

Updates

  • We ended the month of October with some fun at all our locations! We passed out goodie bags full of candy to all our team members. However, some of our team members were surprised when they pulled out either a gift card or raffle ticket! The raffle tickets were used for prizes! A few of our team members even dressed up to show their creative side for Halloween 👻 It was a fun day getting into the Halloween spirit around our facilities while thanking our team members for all that they do to produce a wholesome, great-tasting product!

  • Here at Miller Poultry, our goal is to ensure our customers are receiving a wholesome, great-tasting product. Our pricing department is the last set of eyes to check the quality of our chicken while also pricing each packaged product to make sure our customers’ needs are met. Pricing team members check the presentation of each package to make sure every product that leaves our facility is a good representation of our chicken and our brand. Thank you to our dedicated pricing team members for all the small things they do for the greater goal of our company!

  • Happy Harvest Season! We thank those who are working the early mornings and late nights. Those who are in the fields more than they are at home these days. The first timers who have all the adrenaline and excitement as they embark on their first harvest, and the long reigning farmers who are soaking up their final harvest season. Without their dedication, we would not be able to feed our chickens, and we would not be able to provide you, our customers, with a wholesome, great-tasting product. Thank you to all the young and new or long reigning farmers out there feeding America. We appreciate the long hours and hard work you put in each and every day. *Video courtesy of our grain growers in the (M)ichigan (O)rganic (M)arketing (S)ervices!

  • It’s been 1 full year of construction, and our hatchery expansion is nearly finished! We added 8 new incubators, also known as setters, which all have had eggs in them. Incubators allow for a safe environment for the chicks to develop inside the eggs. Additionally, we also added 4 new hatchers, which we hope to use within the week. Hatchers are where the developed eggs are placed to allow for the proper environment for the chicks to hatch. With the expansion, we were able to designate an entire room for our transfer process. During transfer, the developed eggs are transferred from the egg racks used in the incubators, to egg baskets that allow for the chicks to hatch in the hatcher rooms. With a few small cosmetic fixes left, we are less than a month away from putting a bow on this project. Thank you to DJ Construction for all their help and thank you to our team members for being patient and trusting the process as we continue to bring new life to our operations!

  • Members of our leadership team spent this past Friday with Aaron and Zach from LaCasa to assist in repairing a local residents house from a recent flood incident! Lacasa’s Help-A-House program is provided to low- and medium-income homeowners in the City of Goshen with repair or rehab to and in their homes. They coordinate this with the City of Goshen but are always looking for volunteers. When they reached out to us with this opportunity, we couldn’t wait to see how we could help!
