MiOra engineering interns, Aydin Ulubay, Keyshon Howard, and Maya Gonzales are working on a medical device aimed at addressing the opioid overdose crisis. Throughout the process, they have been immersed in different stages of medical device development and had the privilege of learning from esteemed experts in the field Conor Evans, Ulkuhan Guler, Robert Watson, MD, Andrew Young, Esq. We are thrilled to share that our Director of Research Program Christina Burns and Community Health Specialist Xinbo Wang attended the prestigious Moving Targets LA Symposium hosted by the USC Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Los Angeles. The symposium focused on the theme of “Computational Data-Driven Drug Development Pipeline” featuring engaging discussions, presentations, and valuable networking opportunities. Xinbo and Christina participated in the poster session, presenting their innovative research titled "Retrospective Cohort Study Investigating Early Alzheimer’s Disease Detection Using Plasma and CSF Samples from Women Over 40: A Proposal" and "Use of Generative AI for Improving Health Literacy in Reproductive Health: A Case Study" respectively. Their contributions are a testament to MiOra's commitment to advancing healthcare through research and innovation. We couldn't be more proud of their hard work and dedication! Chan School of Public Health. Under his leadership, medical students and statisticians from Burundi, Jerry Ikorineza, Carno Carel UKIZA, Amy Délicia Akineza, Abdi Kevin NGENDAKURIYO, Cherrubin Key Batumubwira, and ineza cherlie and MiOra Community Health Specialist Interns, Xinbo Wang, Keyshon Howard, Vineesha Manimangalam, Nestor Ardiano, and Calvin Drakos are working on researching health disparities surrounding women’s cancers.
