Small business and multi-family audits have launched through MMWEC's NextZero program! One of the first small business audits was conducted this week at the Templeton First Congregational Church. Auditors from MMWEC's energy efficiency partner, CET, will evaluate the businesses’ energy consumption habits, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, lighting, and more. After the audit is completed, business owners will receive an in-depth audit report that explains different measures that can be implemented to cut down energy use and increase savings with projected cost and energy savings for each suggested measure. Business owners will also be given information on available rebates and incentive programs to help offset the costs of the suggested upgrades. Customers of Holyoke Gas & Electric, Ipswich Electric Light Department, South Hadley Electric Light Department, and Templeton Municipal Light and Water Plant are eligible for the new energy assessments. #publicpower #jointaction #MMWECleads
