About us
We are a Black-owned and women-led philanthropic advisory firm and public charity providing thoughtful, strategic, and tailored philanthropic services to individuals, families, and organizations in the U.S. and abroad. Our vision is rooted in reversing the lack of investment in communities of color by ensuring that changemakers can access the support and financial tools to create systemic change, build influence, and create generational wealth. We provide agile, thoughtful, and expansive support to individuals, families, and organizations in order to help changemakers solve some of the world’s greatest challenges. Our services include: Philanthropic Advisory, helps our clients craft their philanthropic vision, reaffirm their giving focus, identify prospective grantee partners, and fully manage a family’s foundation or giving fund. Fiscal Sponsorship, provides a tax-exempt vehicle for changemakers to launch donor collaboratives, giving circles, advocacy initiatives, and urgent response funds to accept donations and make grants in the U.S. and abroad. Donor Advised Funds, allows individuals, families, affinity groups, and corporations to make a meaningful impact on the communities they serve by establishing a donor-advised fund, enabling donors to make charitable contributions, receive an immediate tax deduction, and recommend grants from the fund over time. Fund Management, on behalf of our corporate clients, we direct over $100 million in grants to social justice causes. As managers of grantmaking funds, we have intimate knowledge of the philanthropic, management, and legal complexities of structured giving through a fund.

"Philanthropy is personal. So be real with yourself. If you don’t want to make changes to fund equitably or with local organizations, then be honest and don’t put those ideas into your mission statement." Our Chief of Staff, Hafeeza Rashed, is quoted in an impactful new report from the Network of Engaged International Donors, highlighting the need for global philanthropy to adopt a racial equity lens. Read the full report, which includes insights from Moore Philanthropy, to explore practical choices donors can make to go beyond values statements and deliver greater impact globally. https://lnkd.in/epsSwxRG

Last year, we urged philanthropy to honor its commitments to fight for racial justice and dismantle systemic racism. On #Juneteenth, our call to action resonates more than ever as corporations and institutions retreat from funding racial justice. Black-led nonprofits also continue to see declines in funding as they work on the frontlines to address racial injustice. From our Founder, Yvonne Moore, read her insights to learn why philanthropy must deliver on its promises. https://ow.ly/tzX750SlSCh

At Moore Philanthropy, reversing underinvestment in Black communities is at the core of work. On #Juneteenth, we’re celebrating Black joy, liberation, and the changemakers who continue to light the way forward. A special shoutout to our grantees and fiscally sponsored projects, Zora's Cradle, COLORADO BLACK HEALTH COLLABORATIVE, Chicago Freedom School, and The Susu House, who are fighting for racial justice and creating meaningful impact in their communities every day. Voting goes beyond presidential elections—down-ballot voting is equally important. Local, state, and federal races are equally important. We must continue to advocate for fair voting practices and support initiatives that ensure all voices are heard without unnecessary obstacles. We also recognize the importance of protecting every citizen's right to vote. The Kansas Supreme Court's recent ruling that voting is not a fundamental right under the state Constitution will embolden lawmakers to impose further limitations on advance voting and mail-in ballots, risking voter confusion, frustration, and decreased participation in the electoral process. These increasing barriers to voting threaten the foundation of our democracy and disproportionately impact people of color and marginalized communities.

What?????? Folks, this is what it means to vote the entire ballot (or down-ballot). Not just the "big" elections. Fast forword and this is judicial system we have. Sigh #vote #votingrights #raceinamerica #racism
The Kansas Supreme Court has ruled that voting is not a fundamental right. What's next for voters?
