She is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Nationally Certified Executive Director through Argentum. She has been an executive director, business office director and regional director of dining. Morning Pointe Senior Living's 42nd community, The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer's Center of Excellence, East Hamilton (TN) is coming along in its construction. 🚧 The frame is going up, and the community is expected to open in early 2025. The Lantern will join the campus of Morning Pointe of East Hamilton, located off East Brainerd Road, and will offer 2 levels of memory care – Lamplight for early stages of Alzheimer’s and other dementias, and Lantern for the more advanced stages. Corkey Miller, winner of the 2023 Morning Pointe Foundation Seniors Got Talent show in Knoxville, recently had the chance to shine and share her comedy routine on "America's Got Talent!" She even got four thumbs-up from the judges after her official audition. 👍 While she was not chosen to advance further in the show, Morning Pointe is very proud of Corkey and delighted that the AGT showrunners discovered her at Morning Pointe Seniors Got Talent. You never know what can happen at SGT! 🤩 “My experience with ‘America’s Got Talent’ was amazing,” Corkey shared with us. “If you’re trying to do a particular thing, there’s no bigger stage. They only picked 44 people [to advance]. I didn’t make the cut, and that’s fine. That doesn’t hurt my feelings. The fact that they aired me on television – that was a gift.” 📺 We haven’t seen the last of Corkey. Since appearing on the hit TV show, she has had several offers from other organizations to do comedy and act. This fall, she will do a comedy and storytelling engagement at a fundraiser for the Shriners in her hometown. “Acting is my one true love that I never had courage to do,” Corkey said. “I am going to let God lead me wherever He is going to lead me.
