  • Did you know that making healthy food choices daily can help prevent disease and improve well-being? This National Nutrition Month, we want to recognize our Nutritional Counseling team which includes dietitians Jessica and Andrea, for the important role they play in patient care. In their vital role, they assess hospital patients for nutritional needs, provide education on healthy eating, and offer outpatient nutritional counseling with a physician’s referral. Thank you to our dietitians for their commitment to improving the health of area residents!

  • Thank you to our staff and volunteers including the GAVC Health Occupations students and instructors who helped us screen 256 students for cardiac abnormalities today at Seneca Township High School! The Rhythm of Our Youth program, which provides area students with a free, non-invasive cardiac EKG that screen for undiagnosed heart conditions is made possible thanks to the generous donations made to the Morris Hospital Foundation.

  • Bowling is right up our alley! Last week we hosted the quarterly birthday celebration for our employees born in January, February, and March at Echo Lanes in Morris! Each quarter, the outing gives our employees an opportunity to experience great camaraderie with co-workers from departments all throughout the hospital and healthcare centers. This is just one of the many ways we show our employees our thanks and appreciation for the excellent work they do improving the health of our community.

  • What a night! We were beyond honored to receive the Partners of the Year award along with Morris Hospital YMCA and the City of Morris at the Grundy Economic Development Council and Grundy County Chamber of Commerce & Industry annual dinner on March 5. The award celebrates the completion of the new Morris Hospital YMCA, which is a wonderful example of the amazing things that can happen in a community when two major, mission driven organizations and their local city government work together. We share this recognition with all of the community leaders and donors who helped make the new Morris Hospital YMCA possible.
