It's #SummerInternSaturday, where we will be featuring members of our 2024 summer intern class. Say hello to Hunter, Mac, Alex, and Preston from Texas A&M University.

Our engineers had such a great time volunteering at the Lamar University College of Engineering Introduction to Engineering (L.I.T.E.) camp earlier this summer that they couldn't wait to go back for more! Recently, several Motiva engineers returned to Lamar University to volunteer at the week-long engineering-focused day camp to teach seventh and eighth graders. The students were thrilled to explore the world of engineering and STEM and learn about various disciplines in the field.

In early June, Motiva participated in the Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas' 2024 Teacher Externship Program. This program connects classroom instruction with real-world applications by allowing teachers to spend time at host facilities of high-demand industries. Nine educators participated in a week-long program at our Port Arthur Manufacturing Complex, where they explored various operating units, wearing personal protective equipment. They also gained insights into the administrative, field, and frontline aspects of our business, as over 50 employees shared information on their roles and careers available within the oil and gas industry. This experience will help teachers incorporate practical knowledge into their curriculum to better prepare students for careers in the energy sector.
