    September came and went, but we’d be remiss not to share how proud we are of our collaboration with the Craft Maltsters Guild in developing the branding, visual identity, logo design, and website design/development for their very first Craft Malt Month! For those unfamiliar, the Guild is a non-profit dedicated to promoting and educating the public about craft malt. This campaign was all about raising awareness and celebrating the artistry behind this essential ingredient in brewing and distilling. To put it into perspective: "Craft Maltsters are doing for malt what craft brewers did for beer decades ago—focusing on quality over quantity and regional over multinational. They’re pushing the boundaries of what this key ingredient can bring to the beverages we love."     On the plane to my first NBWA BREW representing the newly formed Lemonati, and my actual first year attending Alliance For Women in Beer. Since last summer’s sale of Mighty Swell and creation of Lemonati, I have been head down, intensely focused on our emergence as a total beverage company, and on our company’s path to sustained profitability. We relocated HQ to Charlotte NC and built out our first non co-pack endeavor: a 52,000SF warehouse and packaging facility. Every vendor, every component was revisited for true partnership. The can ends, the freight per case - no pallet left behind from improvement. We completed the glow-up of everything Mighty Swell Spiked Seltzer - the SKUs, the sites, the ever-loving koozies of it all - in the name of truly representing who we are: flavor-forward pioneers, who are listening and evolving. Based on the emerging ROS data, I am increasingly hopeful that this endeavor interests consumers. We have expanded into and are now launching spirit-based RTD with Mighty Swell Spirited. Our intent is to focus on the quieter, slower evolving subcategories where we can be unique - starting with Rum and Bourbon. Spirited is also a side quest of sorts for Andrea Clodfelter and I - we met each other and became home girls through our initial careers in spirits. We did the above with 8 (very patient/hardworking/demure/mindful) people and have expanded to 16. Our next steps - two entirely new brands and opportunistic portfolio-building - are in the works. Suja Organic’s mission has always been clear - delivering purposeful nutrition with clean, fresh ingredients.     I call this one: "Two creative marketing wizards and a guy in a Sircle Media hat." If you don't know Derek Springston and Fred Hart, they are the visionaries behind so much of the great branding and packaging you see on shelves in grocery stores across America. They are super talented, very interesting, highly skilled, and just great humans to be around. As fellow agency owners, I respect their skills and commitment to the craft more than most.
