Happy #SustainabilityWeek from MWA Architects! At MWA, #sustainability is woven into the very fabric of who we are as a mission-based firm. This week, we celebrate our commitment to creating a better world for the communities we serve through thoughtful design, responsible practices, and a deep focus on environmental stewardship. We believe in the power of creativity to drive change, the importance of community to foster connection, and the need for responsibility to create meaningful spaces. Our Just Practices guide every decision we make with the goal that every project contributes positively to both the environment and society. Our Positive Products Policy underlines this commitment, with a goal of generating at least 10% of our total sales from services that have a positive environmental and social impact. Our Equitable Purchasing Policy defines how we as a firm use our purchasing power to boost local economic and community growth through procuring products and services from small independent #localbusinesses. We advocate for third-party certifications that uphold the highest sustainability standards, including #ZeroCarbon, #LEED, #LivingBuildingChallenge, and #WELL —ensuring our work not only meets but exceeds expectations for sustainability. Together, let’s build a better future—one business practice at a time. Featured Projects: - Stephens Creek Crossing: LEED Gold, Earth Advantage Platinum - San Francisco Airport Ground Transportation Unit: LEED Gold - Broadleaf Arbor Apartments: Earth Advantage Gold, Solar-Ready, 100% electric - Hannah Mason Pump Station: LEED Gold To learn about our #sustainablebusinesspractices: https://lnkd.in/gmE_GAPd

#PublicTransit supports more #accessible communities, increases #EconomicOpportunity, and reduces greenhouse gases. Transit design directly relates to MWA's #mission of serving the community's essential needs. Our team brings 30 years of #TransitDesign experience based on listening to #community needs, supporting community leaders, and engaging in broader conversations about transit #trends. Ranging from subway projects in San Francisco, California, to bus barns in Pendleton, Oregon, our team designs beautiful facilities that are easy to #operate and maintain. Our priority is to support the people who work within the buildings, optimizing the workflows and safety of #transit operators, mechanics, and administrators.
