  • Join us for a special webinar with Dr. Becca Johnson on When Others’ Trauma Traumatizes Us. You’ll get the chance to hear directly from Dr. Johnson on the work you face every day. We’d love to see you there! Those helping trauma victims are vulnerable to trauma—vicarious trauma. It is the trauma experienced by those working with victims of trauma, or, when others’ trauma traumatizes us. We must know how to recognize, prevent, and respond to this trauma which many consider inevitable when working with complex trauma victims and hearing terrific story after story of abuse and exploitation. This seminar includes information as well as opportunities for self-evaluation and reflection on how we can continue for the long haul in this battle against the inhumane, injustice of human trafficking. Event Details: 🗓️November 14, 2024 ⏰1:00 P.M. EST 💻Live Zoom Webinar: RSVP at https://lnkd.in/gvTiim2i Dr. Johnson has served as trainer, counselor, consulting psychologist, clinical director and aftercare director for numerous anti-trafficking and child abuse organizations. She provides support, training and consultation on trauma-sensitive care, vicarious trauma and on trauma-focused care and recovery.

  • We have an exciting announcement! The National Trafficking Sheltered Alliance (NTSA) is joining Atlas Free to build one united network. Together, we will act as one collaborative community to eradicate sex trafficking and provide trauma-informed services for survivors. Atlas Free and NTSA are joining to build a community of local organizations that understand the vulnerabilities of sex trafficking in their communities best and combat the problem at its source. As of April 2024, NTSA and Atlas Free came to a joint decision to integrate NTSA programs into Atlas Free’s mission. As we make this large-scale transition, we want all members, partners, donors, and supporters to have a seamless experience. We also want everyone to feel fully informed, so we have provided answers to some of your questions about this transition here: https://lnkd.in/gTkM67qq.

Please join us in celebrating this major milestone! We can’t do this work without each other. As anti-trafficking organizations keep improving, accreditation is an important step. • Did you know the Alliance Referral System averages between 11 to 15 referrals each week? We recently heard this from a survivor: “Thank you for helping me. You are the only ones that haven’t given up. The referral system is helping me find hope.” Our network is strong because you are a part of it. Thank you for providing quality care and support to survivors of human trafficking.
