September is National Food Safety Education Month. At Michigan Turkey, our food safety sanitation and standards start right at the farm. Michigan Turkey takes great pride in how we care for and process our birds. We also cook and store our meats until they are shipped to retailers, restaurants, and grocers. This week is Safe and Sound week! Led by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Safe and Sound Week is a nationwide event, recognizing the steps businesses take to improve workplace safety. All week, our Raeford, North Carolina facility is hosting safety first activities for team members. Team members had the opportunity to play "Poppin PPE" on Monday, enjoying popcorn and participating in a "guess that PPE" blindfolded activity.
