We're joining National Organic Coalition members from across the country on Capitol Hill on March 20 to speak with Members of Congress about the value of organic agriculture to our communities. We are urging Members of Congress to pass a five-year Farm Bill and to tackle the following issues in the Farm Bill: ✔ Support for the Organic Certification Cost Share Program & Organic Transition ✔ Address regulatory bottlenecks at USDA ✔ Advance racial equity ✔ Address the organic dairy crisis ✔ Support organic research ✔ Make USDA Conservation programs work for organic farmers #noc2024flyin #farmbill #organicagriculture

“We’ve had the strongest same store sales growth since 2015. And the number of transactions is up 5% over a year ago, and average transaction size is down 2%. So, we are generating this growth by appealing to more people. Food co-ops continue to grow. Many see double-digit growth,” said C.E. Pugh, CEO of NCG.

Co-ops' (flex)ability to build what makes most sense for their community and their focus on community over financial returns make them an obvious choice where equity-funded grocers struggle to serve.
