In 1997, NEVHC launched the “I Support You” (ISU) Employee Giving Campaign - a grassroots initiative born out of necessity during a challenging time. What started as a last hope to secure funding has evolved into a tradition of generosity and compassion. Today, the ISU campaign funds essential patient programs that address social determinants of health and provide critical resources to our community. In 2023, ISU supported 14 patient programs! We're now so close to reaching our 2024 ISU fundraising goal, but we need your help to get there. Your donations to ISU's General Funds ensure that we can continue to support additional patient programs throughout the year. Every contribution counts in making a difference. You can help us reach our goal by donating today at: nevhc.org/isu2024 Learn more about the history and future of the ISU campaign in the blog below.

Yesterday, NEVHC was honored to participate in a fascinating panel held by the Immigrant Health Access Task Force of the California Community Foundation. After the ending of the public health emergency in May of last year, LA County began a massive redetermination process to renew or terminate coverage for over 4 million people. Christopher Gomez, an NEVHC Outreach and Enrollment Manager, spoke about the challenges of this Medi-Cal unwinding process and where support is still needed.
