Last night, our team Will Blodgett, Will Sands, and Zachary Tisch, had a front-row seat to the inaugural Los Angeles Golf Club TGL match at the new SoFi Center. LA Golf Club dominated in their debut, securing an impressive victory.  In just its first two weeks, TGL is already reshaping how fans think about golf and the integration of technology into traditional sports… 📈 Viewership Surge: Last Tuesday’s match peaked at 1.1 million viewers on ESPN, +28% YoY for the same time slot in 2024. This new version of golf is definitely “made for TV,” with ample visual effects, statistics, celebrity interviews, and more.  🎤 Player Personalities Unleashed: Mic’d players offer fans unique perspectives and personality, delivering value aligned with our athlete-driven culture. 🔊 Energetic “Courtside” In-Person Experience: There is no bad seat at SoFi Center - granting fans an up-close, first-of-its-kind experience to see every shot from every player. Party music, loud cheering, and lightshows provide a stark contrast to traditional golf. We invested in TGL and LA Golf Club because we saw the potential of infusing technology and next-level entertainment into a legacy sport, and reimagining the audience experience both in-person and on broadcast. Watching that thesis play out week by week has been chalk-full of insights, and we’re excited to have a front row seat to the continuing evolution of the league

Heading into 2025 with excitement, tenacity and gratitude. In 2024, we surpassed goals and really brought #WomensSoccer to #NJNY. Let's recap: We signed 5 new athletes, including the youngest in NWSL history, hosted the 2023 #WSL Champions #ChelseaFCW, and welcomed home 7 Olympians with hardware from the #2024Olympics. We shattered records, both as a team and watched our athletes accomplish impressive feats. And we welcomed more of you, our fans and fam, than ever before in our home stadium, newly renamed to Sports Illustrated Stadium with Sports Illustrated Tickets. We broke records on and off the field, and it continued to fuel our want to ensure that everyone truly does watch women's sports. #GothamFC is always building, and never finished, and we're hungry to bring that trophy back home. Last week our CEO and Founder Carolyn Tisch Blodgett stood alongside the 2023 NWSL National Championship NJ/NY Gotham FC players to celebrate their winning title at the White House, and a powerful history-making moment. As the first NWSL team to be recognized in DC, we are honored to be part of a team driving meaningful progress. Gotham gifted Biden his very own jersey and shared hope of paving the way for the younger generation of female athletes. It was a road not-yet-paved and we cannot thank the entire team who made this happen, including Emily Tisch Sussman enough for their dedication in making sure the Gotham team got the celebration and recognition they deserve. Gotham Ambassador and former Captain Ali Krieger explained, “Being the first is historic, but it's even more important that we ensure that we are not the last.” We’ve got our work cut out for us, but as President Biden declared, “Everyone watches women’s sports.” From last to first, our Gotham team never gives up and we’re grateful to be on this journey with you. https://lnkd.in/ehby2e8j
