Happy Friday! 🌟 We’re still thinking about all of the fun we had last week at Youth Tour! The week was full of fun and educational activities including some museum visits, a tour of the Capitol building, walking the National Mall, and so much more. NNEC sponsored local Westmoreland High School student, Cheyenne Fulkerson. She joined over 2,000 students from 44 states for this premier leadership experience. This was her first time touring Washington D.C. and we are so happy to have gotten to be a part of this experience for her! In this position, they will both be constantly learning to acquire the skills necessary to safely and effectively construct, operate, and maintain overhead and underground electric facilities. On Friday night, we hosted our second annual Bright Futures Fun(d) Run, and we are blown away by the impact this will continue to have on our community. Over 100 participants came together in support of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, meaning more than 4,000 books will be delivered to children in the Northern Neck area! This event was not possible without the support of our NNEC employees volunteering before, during, and after the event and many community partners. To all of them, thank you!
