At the North Dakota Soybean Council's June board meeting, Greg Endres, North Dakota State University Extension Cropping Systems Specialist, was recognized for his contributions to the #soybean industry during his time at the NDSU Carrington Research Extension Center. 🌱 Chris Brossart, former NDSC Chairman, presented Endres with an appreciation plaque to honor his work and celebrate his retirement. This past week, North Dakota soybean farmer leaders and staff attended #SoyConnext, a conference that serves to connect buyers and sellers of U.S. #Soy for key insights on market drivers, expert analysis on the adoption of technology and innovation, and trends in the global marketplace. 🌱 SoyConnext 2024, hosted by U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) and U.S. Soy had over 750 attendees representing 62 countries. Attendees from North Dakota represented the North Dakota Soybean Council, American Soybean Association, North Dakota Soybean Growers Association, United Soybean Board, and the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC).

The Northern Crops Institute hosted their Soybean and Soybean Meal Procurement Course on May 13-21 in Fargo, ND and in the Pacific Northwest. Twenty-two #soybean buyers from across the world participated in this course, where they gained insights into sourcing US soybeans and soybean meal that meet quality requirements while maximizing value. This past Friday, the North Dakota Soybean Council (NDSC) met with U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) trade teams consisting of purchasers from the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam who import US whole #soybeans and #soybean meal. 🌱 The team toured and met with United Grain and Kalama Export Co. to learn more about the export facilities and capabilities on the Pacific Northwest, a key area for the export of ND soybeans.

Congratulations to North Dakota Soybean Processors, LLC on their ribbon-cutting ceremony in Casselton today. The state-of-the-art facility has a 125,000 bushel-per-day capacity and will produce soybean oil, soybean meal, and soyhull pellets. It's estimated the plant will process 42.5 million bushels of soybeans in the first year. Farmer-leaders and staff from the North Dakota Soybean Council and North Dakota Soybean Growers Association were in Casselton today for the festivities. Our Chairman Jim Thompson of Page provided remarks during this morning's ceremony.
