Railway Contractors and Suppliers ... BUILDING A SAFER AND STRONGER RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY TOGETHER
About us
The National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association – the “NRC” – is a U.S. trade association that advances the mutual interests of railway contractors and suppliers who construct, maintain and supply railroads and rail-transit lines. Founded in 1978, the NRC connects members with other railway industry professionals and government legislators and policy makers. Together we work to create a positive business climate and to make railway construction and maintenance safer and more efficient. Although NRC members often compete against each other, our collaboration furthers the railway construction industry and benefits North American freight, transit and commuter rail lines, our member contractors and suppliers, the general public, and our own professional growth. NRC members and member companies benefit from a full range of valuable services that advance their careers and their businesses: Advocacy - The NRC works with legislators and policymakers to build a positive business climate that advances railway construction opportunities, enhances safety and protects the industry from over-regulation. Safety - Because we believe all incidents are preventable, the NRC develops and supports resources that foster a safe railway construction environment. Events - The NRC provides opportunities to connect with and learn from other railway professionals and business leaders to build your business and develop your career. Market Insights - The NRC offers access to key railway industry leaders and market data and analysis so you can make smart and informed business decisions.

National Railroad Construction & Maintenance Association (NRC) reposted this
A great day with Congressman Sam Graves! Thank you for visiting us in Kansas City!
Omaha Track welcomed U.S. Representative Sam Graves (MO-06) yesterday for a tour of its Omaha Track Equipment (OTE) facility in Kansas City, Mo. Omaha Track provides products and services to Class 1 and short-line railroads, rail contractors, and industries across North America. OTE provides custom upfitting of vehicles and equipment serving the railroad industry. Rep. Graves currently serves as the Chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. The committee has jurisdiction over all modes of transportation, including the aviation system, highways and bridges, transit and rail transportation, pipelines, and maritime and waterborne transportation. Congressman Graves also serves on the House Committee on Armed Services. Bryan Boehm, President of OTE, and Terry Peterson, Chief Executive Officer, of Omaha Track, led and participated in an employee meeting with Rep. Graves and a tour of the facility. “It was a great experience hosting Rep. Graves at our facility today. Knowing that we have someone in DC who understands the industry and the benefits that our company and others in the industry provide is a terrific thing,” said Boehm. Rep. Graves and those participating in the tour discussed the services Omaha Track and OTE provide and touched on the economic benefits they provide to Missouri, Kansas, and throughout the nation. Rep. Graves said, “Omaha Track is a vital part of our economy, both in Missouri and throughout the country, providing critical services in the rail industry. It was great to see their Kansas City facility up close and discuss what they are currently working on with their team. I appreciated the opportunity to visit.” Other participants in the tour and discussion included Michael McGonagle, NRC Vice President of Government Affairs & Operations and REMSA Vice President of Government Affairs; Lisa Roberts, Chief Growth Officer, Omaha Track; Troy Elbert, Senior Vice President of Quality Assurance & Rail Detection Innovation, Herzog; and James Hansen, Chief Commercial Officer, Herzog. Omaha Track is a member of the National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association (NRC) and the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA), two U.S. trade associations that advocate on behalf of railroad contractors and suppliers. Roberts serves on NRC’s Board of Directors. NRC hosted the event. #WeAreOmahaTrack #OTE #OTEKC #SamGraves #KansasCity #KCMO #NRC #REMSA #Herzog #Railroad
