What are three simple things you could focus on to accelerate your revenue and sales? I had an insightful conversation with Jeff Bridges from Ntara about what really drives revenue and sales growth. Here’s his top advice: 1. Get closer to your customer: - Understand what products are selling and in which channels. - Use digital shelf analytics to pinpoint what’s working. - Focus on both revenue and margin—analyze where you're making the most impact. 2. Prioritize customer engagement: - Ensure your product data is where your customers are. - Engage customers with self-service capabilities, like dynamic catalogs. - Empower your customers to find and use the data they need. 3. Speed to market: - Be nimble and ready to respond to market changes. - Build a flexible infrastructure to handle rapid shifts. - Remember: The only constant is change. These strategies are about more than just speed and efficiency—they hinge on having solid data management. Properly leveraging your data can help you get closer to your customers, refine your focus, and react swiftly to market dynamics. Investing in robust data management and syndication solutions, ensures you’re not just reacting, but strategically positioning yourself for growth. ____________________________ I'm on a mission to help e-commerce leaders sell more. Are you using Excel as your Product Information Management (PIM) solution? If so, you're not alone—but you might be falling behind. I recently sat down with Jeff Bridges from Ntara, and we discussed what many companies are still relying on as their go-to PIM solution: Microsoft Excel. Surprising? Maybe. But it’s a reality for so many businesses. Here’s the thing—Excel works...but only to a point. Why Excel works as a PIM: ✅ It's a familiar tool ✅ Easy to use for basic tasks ✅ Convenient for small-scale operations But when it comes to managing vast amounts of product data across global markets—multilingual, multi-currency, multi-platform—Excel falls short. But first, what is PIM, and why does it matter? Product Information Management (PIM) is more than just a database. It’s the backbone of your product data flow: - Organizes and centralizes product data - Ensures data is complete, accurate, and ready for distribution - Speeds up time-to-market by streamlining processes But if your PIM is just a collection of Excel files floating through emails and shared drives, you’re leaving too much to chance. In today's digital landscape, treating data as an asset is no longer optional—it’s essential. Data quality directly impacts your competitiveness. Poor data? It means missed opportunities and slower growth. Embrace a digital-first mindset, invest in proper data management, and watch your business grow. Five ways to ensure digital shelf analytics works for your business. 👇🏼 👇🏼 👇🏼 👇🏼 👇🏼 1️⃣ Assess your readiness Is your business ready? How is your data maturity? Do you need to address PIM first? You may need to build a use case with projected ROI. 2️⃣ Map your product lifecycle Document your product data's journey. Trace how each channel receives this data. Pinpoint how and why problems occur. Explore potential fixes. 3️⃣ Formulate a strategy Which errors take priority? What processes require manual intervention? Where does automation make sense? You need a smart strategy, including priorities and response plan. 4️⃣ Set up and configure DSA involves significant setup and configuration. Bring different teams together. Assess needs and collaborate. Ensure people + process + tech works as planned. 5️⃣ Navigate change Train your users on the process. Who is responsible for each task? How can you get them excited about the process? Guide your team. Set them up for success. #DSA #DigitalShelfAnalytics #PXM #PIM #DAM
