Nor is the power of empathy and the resilience of people to overcome and build back better. The Nursing Consortium of Florida originated from the collective response of the nursing community to a major hurricane 32 years ago. For more than three decades we've been dedicated to strengthening the community and getting to better together... and that is exactly what we will continue to do in the days ahead. As we all make preparations for Hurricane Milton, please adhere to all recommendations from your local authorities and prepare accordingly. Nurses are coming together on October 18th to address nursing health, well-being, and resilience needs at the individual, career, and organizational levels while placing a focus on nurse impact on community health. On July 1, CommHIT received a $4M federal grant that can be used as seed funding to develop nursing workforce to support resilience for all.
