Under Local Law 88 (LL88), common areas in residential buildings larger than 25,000 sq. ft. and all areas in non-residential buildings larger than 25,000 sq. ft. must upgrade their lighting by 2025 to comply with the NYC Energy Conservation Code. NYC Department of Buildings just released a new guide for Article 320 buildings that need to comply with Local Law (LL97). Starting next year, annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reports must be submitted based on 2024 emissions. This guide provides additional information on covered buildings, compliance pathways, reporting and extension, calculations, deductions, and mediated resolutions. Need help with LL97 compliance?
