We were excited to bring our members, partners, and sponsors together for OBCDC’s Annual Meeting last night at @Ariel Pearl Center, sponsored by @beneschlaw. Executive Director, Lucas Reeve, shared key highlights and growth at the organization and in the neighborhood with the Commercial Corridor Needs Assessment along Broadview Road, the overwhelming response to OB StreetFest, and our 50 for 50 campaign. This fundraising campaign is to raise $50K for our 50th Anniversary, kicking off this year. Funds will go toward an accessible community room for Old Brooklyn! Donate today at the link in our bio. The members voted in 3 new board members: Kerry Capwell, Jacob Vansickle, and David Sharkey! We are excited to welcome their presence and expertise to our Board of Directors. We also recognized Founders Award recipient, Darlene Glass, and our top 3 MVPs this year: Annie Myatt, Chris Jeon (not pictured), Logan Sindone who collectively put in 85 volunteer hours this year. And a special shout out to @opalonpearl for hosting a happy hour following the event! To read our Annual Report, head to our website!

Great work Juan!
As part of the new Old Brooklyn Community Development Corporation initiative OB Votes, this year, we successfully organized tabling events in collaboration with 787 Market and Café, as well as Sixth City Cycles. We registered a total of 24 residents to vote and helped 9 residents to obtain a free identification card with Ohio's new program through the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles. We also hosted several tables at the Old Brooklyn Farmer’s Market, where we offered valuable resources to residents. Our efforts included providing voter assistance and helping individuals develop personalized voting plans. #OBVotes

Last week, we hosted an event to launch our work centered around the recommendations of the Broadview Reimagined report, a commercial corridor needs assessment of Broadview Road that was completed this summer. We presented the findings of that report and hosted a panel discussion with neighborhood and city leaders to strategize the next steps for our neighborhood. 🙌🏽 A HUGE shoutout to our Latine Environmental Colectivo for their incredible work during Latino Conservation Week! 🌿♻️ Sponsored by: Hispanic Access Foundation ☕ Cafecito Green brought the community together with inspiring ideas on improving our neighborhoods and protecting our planet. 🌧️ Our Rain Barrel Workshop was both educational and fun, with participants joining in to beautifully paint a community rain barrel. 💚 During the Community Cleanup, volunteers collected 50 pounds of trash along Memphis Avenue and Fulton Road—what an impact! A big thank you to everyone who participated. Let’s keep the momentum going and #StaySustainable! ♻️
