Ochsner LSU Health Monroe’s Kandice Hunter-Sanders, nurse practitioner and Jamin Rankin, stroke/trauma program manager, were recently nominated by the Northeast Louisiana Young Professionals and Monroe Chamber of Commerce for their work and contributions that seeks to make our communities great. Out of seventy-seven nominations, Kandice Hunter-Sanders was one of the winners that received the award for her career development, community involvement and exemplary leadership skills. We are proud of Kandice and Jamin for being recognized and congratulations to Kandice for being selected as a Top 20 Under 40 Young Professional Award winner! 👏

Big day at Ochsner LSU Health. Our new MRI unit arrived Thursday. It was cool to see it lifted high into the air and dropped through the opened ceiling. It will be great to add another MRI to our organization to best serve our community. Furthers our ability to care for our regions worthy patients. Kudos to all who made it happen.

What an incredible day at the Community Health Expo! 🎉 Staff from Ochsner LSU Health - Monroe Medical Center were thrilled to see so many faces join us for a day dedicated to health, learning, and community spirit. A big thank you to our Family Medicine Residents and various departments for providing invaluable services like hypertension counseling and tobacco cessation education. We were also honored to have Monroe City Councilman Verbon Muhammad, Sr. with us, adding to the spirit of community and cooperation. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event a success!

Ochsner LSU Health partnered with the non-profit Sleep In Heavenly Peace, where over 60 of our amazing team members braved the Louisiana heat to build 20 beds for local kids in need. In addition, we raised enough to provide bed-in-a-bag accessories! Thank you to all of the volunteers who made this event a success! 💙
