#OCIDevelopment would like to wholeheartedly thank everyone who showed their support, whether through letters, emails, phone calls, or in-person remarks, for the much needed affordable housing and Pre-K that Vista Park would have brought to San Antonio. To our amazing development partners, San Antonio Housing Trust, Atlantic Pacific Companies, Essence Preparatory Public School, and everyone who showed true leadership on one of the most critical issues facing our city, MIL GRACIAS Y SEGUIMOS ADELANTE! We pride ourselves on developing affordable housing communities throughout San Antonio and Texas that are assets to their neighborhood, and enhance the quality of life--not threaten it-- and we will continue to do so.

📢 New ART Alert! Check out the amazing “Dulce Y Colorada” diptych by local artist Blas Lopez! This beautiful set is the latest in #OCIGroup’s effort to showcase local artists’ works for all who visit our office. The artist, Mr. Lopez, has been a San Antonio resident for nearly 30 years and has been in many local and national galleries. His subject matter includes Southwest art, Native American imagery, old Spanish Missions, and Mexican imagery. It’s an honor to display his paintings over the next several months. #SupportLocalArtists #PurposeDriven #LocalArt #ArteSanAntonio #ArteOCIGroup

Loved visiting our client Form Communities at the San Antonio Clubhouse this morning for their “Open House, Open Mind” event, in celebration of #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth. The sense of community, support, and genuine care for each other is always so present at the Clubhouse—thank you to all the members and staff who put this beautiful day together, and to the other organizations and service providers who were present to share resources and make connections. We also want to thank District 4 Councilwoman Rocha Garcia for attending and sharing remarks as well. 💚 #MentalHealthMatters #FightTheStigma #PurposeDriven

It was wonderful to join so many people in celebrating the 5th Anniversary of our client, The Mexican American Civil Rights Institute - MACRI, at today’s luncheon. The highlight was a powerful discussion with esteemed panelists Laura Huerta Migus, the Deputy Director of Museum Services at the Institute of Museum and Library Services in Washington D.C., DeJuana Thompson, the President & CEO of the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute (BCRI) in Birmingham, Alabama, Beth Takekawa, the Former Executive Director of the Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience in Seattle, Washington, and Mary Pat Higgins, the Executive Director of the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum in Dallas, Texas. As museum leaders throughout the country, their work demonstrates the need for a Mexican American civil rights museum, and the impact it can have on our local community and on our nation. We hope everyone left as excited and motivated as we did to continue supporting MACRI as they move toward a permanent national museum, based in San Antonio, TX! Felicidades MACRI!
