Yesterday marked World Humanitarian Day. Pace celebrates the vital contributions of humanitarian aid workers and the thousands of volunteers, professionals, and people who deliver urgent transportation, healthcare, shelter, food, protection, and other necessities in times of crisis. We’ve seen firsthand the value of our essential and frontline workers, and we can’t thank them enough for their selflessness and dedication to improve the lives of others. It’s our final Million Miler Monday! Throughout the year on social media, Pace has proudly celebrated our 22 newest inductees into the Million Mile Club, which recognizes bus operators for their defensive and safe driving. Today, we shine a final spotlight on Marybelle Ramos, an operator at Northwest Division in Des Plaines who has been driving Pace buses for 15 years. She is a 1 Million Miler who has driven at least 12.5 years without a preventable accident. Congratulations, Marybelle!

Expanding Access Will County Dial-a-Ride was the result of years of collaboration between Will County, local partners, and Pace Suburban Bus. Thanks to these strong partnerships, even more seniors and people living with disabilities in Will County now have access to safe and convenient transportation! Access Will County Dial-a-Ride is now available in southwest Will County and the service area has been expanded to all of Will County, just outside of the county border, and parts of southern Cook County. Thank you to everyone who worked with the County Executive Office on improving this service in Will County, and a special thank you to Pace, the City of Braidwood and the City of Wilmington for helping cut the ribbon on this major expansion of dial-a-ride services!
