𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐥𝐚 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐈 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥-𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 The NEVI standard requires that each site provide access to real-time status and pricing information for 3rd-party app developers. We’re excited that, finally, 10 months after the first NEVI-funded site went live, we have our first real-time data access! Tesla recently opened up its OCPI interface providing status and pricing in a straight-forward way. They’re the first network operator to provide this data out of the 8 networks currently live under the program. The Tesla data covers three sites and 32 ports, of which 21 are NEVI-funded. We’re now feeding this data into Paren’s Reliability algorithm as we build out our NEVI Health Index (NHI) which tracks the health and reliability of these government funded chargers. Stay tuned for more information about NHI as well as Paren’s public NEVI tracking site in conjunction with EVAdoption data. NEVI Stats as of Oct 25: . ◻Total Live Sites: 20 . ☑Sites with real-time data: 3 . ◻Total Active Funded Charge Ports: 89 . ☑Ports with real-time data: 21 . ◻Total Networks: 8 . ☑Networks with real-time data: 1 . ◻Total States: 8 . ☑States with real-time data: 2 #nevi #evcharging #evcharginginfrastruture

🥇 Most Interesting 🥇 Terra.do runs a fantastic program to teach and guide people towards careers in climate. For the final project in the most recent class run by Jaime Curtis & Jason Curtis of Option Zero, EVSession provided data to a team looking to study the problem of charging in cold weather. 👏 Congrats to Ben Jedlovec and Philip Y Li for winning the Most Interesting Presentation award for their analysis of charging behavior during the January cold snap. The moral of the story: If your charging station is reliable, your utilization can increase significantly during major weather events.
