  • At Partnership for Families, Children and Adults, we’ve proudly served as the region’s Rape Crisis Center for nearly 30 years, providing survivors of sexual assault with critical care, advocacy, and support. Through Hamilton County’s Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), we ensure that every survivor has access to a compassionate, coordinated response—connecting victims with advocates, law enforcement, forensic medical exams, counseling, and justice. We value our partnership with the Chattanooga Hamilton County Family Justice Center, which connects survivors with us and guides them on their path to healing. If you or someone you know needs help, call us at 423-755-2700. You are not alone. • 🌟 Happy National Senior Citizens Day! 🌟 Today, we honor and celebrate the wisdom, strength, and contributions of our seniors! At Partnership for Families, Children and Adults, we are committed to ensuring that older adults receive the care, respect, and dignity they deserve through our Elder Support Services Programs. Our programs provide vital support, including: • Home Care Program: Helping individuals over 60 and adults with disabilities remain self-sufficient by assisting with daily tasks like light housework, grocery shopping, and accompaniment to medical appointments. • Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP): Empowering volunteers aged 55+ to find meaningful opportunities to give back in ways that matter most to them. • Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program: Advocating for seniors in nursing homes and assisted living facilities, preventing elder abuse, and ensuring their needs are properly attended to. We’re proud to be a resource for seniors, promoting independence and preserving dignity. Join us in celebrating the amazing seniors in our lives today and every day!

Community collaborations are an essential aspect of programming success. I’m grateful for Rachel H. and the Unum staff that set an example of showing up for youth and families in our communities. This is how we change the world… together!

What's the best way to kick off August? Summer camp, obviously! 🏕🥾🏊♀️🔥 Earlier this month, Wendy Gibson, Jacquelyn Webb, and I were honored to get a special tour of Partnership for Families, Children and Adults' Camp HOPE program at YMCA Camp Ocoee. Camp HOPE Chattanooga is a year-round mentoring program that provides holistic support and engagement for children and teens who have experienced trauma, capped off by a week of camp at the end of summer. The goal? See the generational cycle of violence end, help children dream of a brighter future and create new pathways to reach their goals. Big thanks to Joy Key, Michelle Howard, and Brittney Sparn for taking the time to show us around and share more about this incredible program and its impact on children who need it the most.

  • Huge thanks to Unum for their amazing support! Thanks to their generosity drive, we received a truckload of goods for Elder Services—no exaggeration, we couldn’t have fit another box! 🚚✨ Last year, our Homemaker Program helped 102 older and disabled adults stay comfortably in their homes, and with these donations, we can continue to make a real difference. Thank you, Unum Careers, for your unwavering support! 💙

They shared the success of Generations Stronger, our initiative focused on empowering families through education, support services, and resources to break the cycle of poverty and build brighter futures. My job is much more than a job - it’s a passion and I’m grateful for that… Each year I have the opportunity to recruit amazing human beings to come together for Camp HOPE and this year’s staff far exceeded my expectations. Every staff gave their heart to our campers! Partnership for Families, Children and Adults Camp HOPE America Chattanooga at YMCA Camp Ocoee- YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga - has been inspiring 💙 Thank you to everyone who supported us in any way - it means so much to me. We were able to provide 62 youth with an amazing experience and we had 50 staff who dedicated themselves to our campers for the week. Troy Rogers inspired us in finding our spark and encouraged us to show up for our youth in our pre-camp training day. Allen Green shared his personal story of HOPE with our Leaders in Training which had an incredible impact as well. We met new friends who now feel like family and we shared moments with our youth that will not be forgotten. We will continue throughout the year in showing up for our youth and keeping them engaged in monthly activities and events. If you want to know how you can get involved, please send me a message. HOPE is believing in myself, believing in others and believing in my dreams…

  • Thanks to the The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and our community, we are making a difference. For the third year, the UTC Police Department is partnering with 911 Cell Phone Bank to collect old cell phones for victims of violent crimes. Sgt. Kenneth Lloyd says, "That device could save someone's life." Amy Carlton from the Rape Crisis Center adds, "It helps victims start over with a new, safe number." If you would like to donate a used cell phone, you can drop it off at the donation collection box in the UTC Police Department front lobby at 400 Palmetto St. Your support helps lead victims to recovery. Thank you! https://lnkd.in/eeYK7HnX
