PATH Community Spotlight: Connections Housing 🏡✨ PATH Connections Housing in downtown San Diego is a supportive services hub and housing community, providing over 200 individuals with a safe place to call home, plus two floors of interim housing. Originally built in 1928 as the San Diego Athletic Club, it was transformed in 2012 through a partnership between PATH Ventures and Affirmed Housing. More than just housing, this community offers on-site supportive services and spaces designed for stability and connection, including: 🏥 On-site medical clinic for healthcare services 🍽️ Industrial-size teaching kitchen for daily meals for interim residents 📍 Resource center connecting residents to essential services 💙 Community spaces for social gatherings and support 🪴Rooftop garden for growing food and hosting workshops At PATH, we’re dedicated to creating homes and building communities. PATH partners with County of Los Angeles on the Pathway Home initiative and to date, more than 2,000 people have transitioned from homelessness to shelter. By providing supportive services and connections to housing, we are ensuring individuals have the resources needed to regain stability. Pathway Home focuses on reaching individuals in encampments near riverbeds and freeways, providing vital connections to housing and long-term support. 🚢✨ Last week, our PATH Riverside families set sail with Big Sunday for a beautiful morning cruise in Long Beach—and what an unforgettable experience it was! For many of our families, who have previously experienced homelessness, this was their first-ever cruise, making it an extra special treat. From breathtaking ocean views to great company and delicious snacks, it was a perfect day of connection, community, and joy. A huge thank you to David Levinson, Founder and Executive Director of Big Sunday, and his incredible team for hosting this special cruise event for our families! Their generosity and dedication made this day one to remember.
