What if AI could help you become the CEO of your own health? Alicia Chong Rodriguez — founder of Bloomer Tech — and Rana el Kaliouby, Ph.D. discuss how wearables and AI-powered health insights are transforming the way we understand our bodies. Real-time data and digital therapeutics are helping us move toward a world where individuals — especially women — can make informed, personalized decisions about their well-being. The more we understand our own data, the more power we have over our health. #PioneersOfAI #AI #Healthcare #FutureOfMedicine #MedicalScience

AI is everywhere, so we hit the streets (of On Air Fest) to ask people how they really feel about it. From excitement to skepticism, the responses were as varied as the technology itself. Some see AI as a tool for creativity, others as a force of disruption. Some worry about job displacement, while others are eager to see how it will enhance our daily lives. One thing is clear: AI is shaping the future, and the conversation around it is just getting started. What’s your take — friend or foe? #PioneersOfAI #AI #OnAirFest #FutureOfTech

How can businesses and governments alike embrace more openness? Marc Benioff — Salesforce CEO and Co-Founder — joins Rana el Kaliouby, Ph.D. to explore how transparency fosters trust in both business and government. At Salesforce, Benioff explains his open approach — publishing his personal business plans in Slack for all employees to see. A bold step toward accountability many business leaders could be following. The same principle applies beyond the corporate world. When decisions are made behind closed doors, skepticism grows. But when transparency becomes the standard, trust follows. #PioneersOfAI #Salesforce #CEO #Leadership #BusinessInsights #TechSales #Innovation

Innovation at the highest level comes with the highest stakes — and toughest challenges to solve. Gavin Uberti — Co-Founder and CEO of Etched – joins Rana el Kaliouby, Ph.D. to discuss the monumental task of building powerful AI chips. But pushing the limits of technology isn’t just about ambition, it’s about overcoming the impossible. The road to the future is paved with breakthroughs, setbacks, and relentless problem-solving. #PioneersOfAI #AI #DeepTech #Innovation

Gavin Uberti believes Etched can be the biggest company of all time. That's the kind of founder conviction I love! In my latest episode of Pioneers of AI, I chat with Gavin Uberti, founder and CEO of Etched. In 2022, they made a bet that transformers (the “T” in ChatGPT) would take over the world. Their first product, Sohu, is a specialized chip designed specifically for transformer models, which are at the core of foundation models powering Generative AI today including ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek, Gemini and more. As a result, their chips are an order of magnitude faster and cheaper than GPUs out there. In our conversation, we dive into the AI chip landscape and discuss how Etched is taking on chip giant NVIDIA, their competitive moat, and why latency matters so much. What really excites me is how Etched is working to dramatically reduce the cost of inference—making AI more accessible and democratic. Their chips process 500,000 tokens per second for models like Llama 70B, about 16 times faster than eight Nvidia H100 core GPU! The future is here, but as Gavin points out, "it's not evenly distributed." Premium #AI models remain behind paywalls, but specialized chips could decrease costs by an order of magnitude. That's how we build AI for 8 billion people, not just Silicon Valley. Proud to be an investor alongside Primary Venture Partners Positive Sum Ocean Ventures. AI cloning isn’t just for Hollywood or viral deepfakes — it's now accessible to everyday consumers. From digital avatars to AI-powered voices, the technology is evolving fast. In today’s edition of The AI Trail, Pioneers of AI host Rana el Kaliouby, Ph.D. and digital avatar expert Natalie Monbiot break down three form of AI cloning: video, voice, and even knowledge. Want to see these AI clones in action? Read (and watch) today’s newsletter.

Can AI truly reach its ethical potential while most of the world is still priced out? Gavin Uberti, Co-Founder and CEO of Etched, joins Rana el Kaliouby, Ph.D. to discuss why responsible AI development isn’t just about regulations — it's about accessibility. Silicon Valley tech giants have the privilege of paying for premium AI tools or Apple products without a second thought, for example. But for Uberti, ethical AI means lowering costs so innovation benefits everyone, not just those who can afford it. The AI revolution shouldn't be limited to a select few — it should be built for all. #PioneersOfAI #AI #EthicalAI #Innovation #FutureOfTech

AI cloning technologies exist - but now what? How do we actually put out AI clones to work on our behalf? It starts with identifying the most valuable aspects of ourselves that we can scale and augment. For many of us, that's not how we look or sound - it's our body of work and expertise... Wizly is a platform where experts can clone, augment and monetize our expertise in a holistic AI platform, trained on a fire hose of your own data. Natalie Monbiot, Founder, Virtual Human Economy In a LIVE recording of the Pioneers of AI podcast from the recent On Air Fest in New York, Rana el Kaliouby, Ph.D. and Natalie Monbiot explore the next evolution of AI: knowledge cloning. In this insightful conversation, Wizly was featured as technology that goes beyond mimicking voices and faces and captures expertise, problem-solving skills, and decision-making processes. AI isn’t just replicating humans — it’s preserving and scaling what makes them valuable. We also got a peek into Rana's Wizly Twin! Check it out through the link in the comments.
