Thank you for embracing diversity with us here in Prince George’s County!🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ We continue to reinforce our commitment to inclusivity in Prince George’s as we work everyday to improve the quality of life of all of our residents. The LGBTQIA+ community continues to fight for equity and protections that many others don’t have to think twice about. They deserve the same rights and the same protections as every other resident in Prince George’s. Reflecting on this #PrideMonth, we are proud to have gotten the opportunity to celebrate with you all in so many ways. Your smiles and flying colors have been a beautiful testament of our diversity-rich communities.

Our LGBTQIA+ neighbors deserve our love and support. So many of us know all too well that it gets tiring constantly having to fight for equal access, dignity, and your rights. Supporting our LGBTQIA+ neighbors is so important to the Alsobrooks Administration. Diversity is our strength, and discrimination and hate have no place in the County that so many call home. We call on you to make Prince George’s stronger by listening to the stories of the marginalized in our community and #EmbraceDiversity far after June. Thank you for choosing to celebrate #PrideMonth with us in Prince George’s County! #PrinceGeorgesProud

In Prince George's County, we are making great strides in climate resilience! We are moving closer to reaching our Climate Action Plan's carbon emissions goal of 50% reduction by 2030, compared to our 2005 levels. Informed by our Climate Action Implementation Task Force, we are ambitiously tackling climate change in our County. #PGCHealthy County Executive Angela Alsobrooks launched our Climate Action Implementation Task Force back in 2022, and they recently delivered on our Climate Action Implementation Strategies Report which details recommendations that can help us progress towards being a more climate resilient County. Thank you to our task force members for their commitment, as we are more than grateful for their hard work on this report! Beautification has been one of our Proud Priorities from the beginning of the Alsobrooks Administration, and we're #PrinceGeorgesProud to have invested tens of millions of dollars into initiatives and programs across the government to improve the health of our environment and the beauty of our County. The impact that these initiatives and programs have had on our community is a promising demonstration of their effectiveness.
